In this review, I’ll unbox the kit, discuss its pros and cons, and show you how to use it to pass a drug test.
- Flip-up spout cap included
- Enough urine for 2 uses
- Affordable price
- 2-year shelf life
- No stealthy sneaking method
- Regular heat pad can overheat and cause burns
- No adhesive side; requires a rubber band, which can make the heat pad fall off
- Only one heat pad for two uses of urine
What’s in the Quick Fix Plus kit
Let’s unbox it and see what’s included.
Each box has a special QR code. You can use it to check and validate the batch of your urine and its remaining shelf life.
Urine
The urine in the kit is of regular quality and suitable for both males and females. It has a realistic color, looking just like real urine.
For a drug test, you’ll need 1-1.5 ounces of urine. The kit contains 3 ounces, enough for two tests. The urine has a shelf life of 2 years.
However, if you decide to use it twice, freeze the remaining urine after opening the bottle to prevent bacteria growth.
Bottle
The bottle is shaped like an hourglass, so when you attach the heat pad with the included rubber band, it won’t fall off. This is convenient.
The bottle also has a temperature strip attached, so you can easily check the urine’s temperature before submitting the sample.
Some temperature strips are inaccurate and can lead to failed drug tests. I always check with a digital thermometer to ensure accuracy.
In the photo below, the thermometer shows 93.9°F, but the temperature strip shows 96°F. This isn’t very accurate, so remember that the actual temperature is usually 2 degrees lower than what the strip displays.
Cap
The kit has a flip-up spout cap, which is very convenient. This cap is already attached to the bottle. In other kits, you have to attach it yourself.
In the drug test room, people are usually nervous. Unscrewing and screwing back a cap can be tricky and it’s easy to spill the urine. With the flip-up spout cap, it’s simple because you can do it with one finger. The cap is tough to open, so it won’t spill accidentally under your clothes.
Heating methods
This kit includes a heating pad. However, there is only one heating pad, even though there’s enough urine for two uses. This means you can only use the kit once unless you buy extra heat pads.
The pad is a branded heat pad, specifically designed for use with Quick Fix Plus.
According to the information on the pad, it can heat up to 156°F. That’s too hot and can overheat the urine.
Imagine you’re in the drug testing room.
You take out the urine bottle and see that it’s overheated. Temporary overheating won’t ruin the urine, but you need a way to cool it down.
You have only 4 minutes to submit the sample, which can be a problem you don’t want.
Also, 156°F is too hot for your skin and can cause burns. If you hide the urine bottle with the attached heat pad in your pants, you definitely don’t want to feel that extra heat and get burns there.
The heat pad doesn’t have an adhesive side. To attach it and keep it close to the bottle, you need to use the rubber band included in the kit. The rubber band can fall off in your pocket or pants. That’s why I prefer pads with adhesive sides.
This heat pad can keep warmth for up to 10 hours according to its description. However, the instructions on the box state it will keep warm for 5 hours.
It takes about an hour to warm the urine to 100°F. If you need to warm it quickly, you can microwave it.
How to use Quick Fix to pass a drug test
Activate the hand warmer
Activating the hand warmer is easy. Just unwrap it and give it a quick shake. It might take up to 45 minutes to start working. Make sure the hand warmer gets enough air to start the chemical reaction.
Set the hand warmer aside and let it warm up.
Shake the Quick Fix bottle and remove the induction seal
Shake the Quick Fix bottle for a few seconds. This makes sure the ingredients are mixed well. If your Quick Fix has an induction seal, remove it. The induction seal is a tiny foil seal to prevent leaks during transport. Some bottles might not have this seal due to new cap technology.
Microwave for 7-10 seconds
Microwave the bottle for about 7 to 10 seconds. This heats the Quick Fix to body temperature. Look for a green dot on the temperature strip between 94 to 100 degrees.
If the bottle feels too warm and the temp strip is black, the urine is too hot. Let it cool down until the temp strip reads between 90 to 100 degrees. Do not microwave the heating pad.
Attach the hand warmer
Use tape or the included rubber band to attach the hand warmer to the back of the Quick Fix bottle. Do not attach the hand warmer on the same side as the temp strip. This ensures you can see the temp strip and get an accurate reading.
Heat Quick Fix without a microwave
The hand warmer can keep Quick Fix between 90 to 100 degrees for 5 hours. If you don’t have a microwave, the hand warmer can still heat Quick Fix. This method takes longer than microwaving but works just as well.
Quick Fix can be reheated
If you don’t use your synthetic urine sample, put it back in its box for future use. You can reheat it as many times as needed.
Some people have even reheated Quick Fix daily for a year! Make sure you have extra hand warmers if you reheat it more than once.
Conclusion
Quick Fix is a good option to pass a drug test if you know how to hide the bottle on your body. Avoid contact between the heat pad and your skin to prevent burns.
For unimportant drug tests, it’s worth a try. But for important tests, like for a life-changing job, I recommend using more reliable options.
